Vin Diesel will continue in the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise after sexual assault accusation

Actor and producer Vin Diesel has shared an update on the next instalment of the Fast & Furious franchise called Fast XI and has promised that it will indeed be a great finale. The film reportedly marks the end of the long-running franchise, at least for the actor who plays Dominic Toretto. He has confirmed, through his Instagram, that it will indeed be the last ‘Fast’ film. You may imagine they’ll still have spin-offs after that, it’s almost certain, but the main saga will (finally) end. He calls it the “grand finale.” Notice how this was announced and buried on a Friday night.

He has begun to reconnect with the public after a former aide filed a lawsuit against him in December, accusing him of sexual assault. However, he has denied the allegations, as reported by deadline.com

What can we expect from Fast XI?

Fast X” ended on a cliffhanger leaving Dominic Toretto and his son defeated by  Dante Reyes played by Jason Momoa.

With a dam about to collapse and the apparent death of his brother and his friends, Dominic didn’t have much choice when Aimes switched alliances. However, fans hope that the Fast & Furious saga has a happy ending.

The problem for Universal is that it underperformed at the box office, grossing $714.6 million worldwide. There have been multiple attempts to crack the script for the upcoming film and at least three writers have already been hired. Universal has already dated its release for April 4, 2025.
