Jeremy Renner Looking for a Brighter Future after Tragic Accident

Jeremy Renner is looking to the future with complete optimism. It’s been a year since Renner was involved in a fatal accident in Reno, Nevada that left him with 30 broken bones while shoveling snow from the road with his nephew on New Year’s Day.

After a year of recovery, Renner is now well and has resumed work on his upcoming drama, Mayor of Kingstown. Renner also recently revealed whether he will be returning to the world of the MCU.

In the Marvel world, Renner played the avenging Hawkeye. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the actor said, “I’m always in the game. I’ll be strong, that’s for sure. Referring to his Avengers co-stars who visited him after the tragic accident, the actor said, “They all came to my bedside and stayed with me during this recovery, so… if they wanted me, They could do that.”

Renner made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the 2011 film Thor. Since then, he has reprised the role of Hawkeye, the world’s greatest archer, in several other MCU films such as The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, and most recently in the Disney+ series Hawkeye.

“I had a business career, then I got a movie star career. I never got any Commercial in the big game,” he said. “…I’ll watch it, and I’m very excited because they’re the highlight of the Super Bowl sometimes.”

“Some games aren’t always the greatest, but commercials are always the greatest. It’s nice to be a part of that, thinking that (I) can test things I want to do in my life.”
