Rap legend Snoop Dogg is striking a different tune about Donald Trump. He is now thinking about her “love and respect” for the former president.
Just weeks after shocking the world with his sarcastic “quit smoking” comment last November, the 52-year-old rapper caused a stir in a recent interview when he was asked about the 45th president.
Snoop Dogg recently revealed in an interview, “Donald Trump? He’s done nothing wrong to me. He’s only done great things for me.” It looks like the days of Snoop-trolling Trump are over.
Snoop gave special congratulations to Trump for pardoning Michael Harris, the co-founder of Snoop’s first label Death Row. Harris was in prison for drug offenses. “So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump,” Snoop said. “He has done only great things for me. Flashback to 2017 – Snoop caused a stir with a music video for “Lavender”, where he pointed a gun at a clown dressed like Trump.
Trump was not happy and even suggested that Snoop should be arrested. Fast forward to 2018, Snoop dropped “Make America Crip Again”, flipping Trump’s slogan.
Snoop explained the meaning behind the lyrics: “Some people think we should make America ‘great again,’ but the times they’re referring to always lead me to isolation and alienation.” He wants to “cripple America again” by empowering black communities.
