Dakota Johnson revealed that it was her First time working with BLUE SCREEN for Madame Webb
Dakota Johnson leaned heavily on director SJ Clarkson during the filming of “Madame Web,” Sony’s latest live-action Spider-Verse to hit theaters. The actor, who will star as Cassandra Webb in Sony’s upcoming superhero thriller “SpiderMan” universe, reflects on her experience working with blue screens for CGI effects.
“I’ve never really made a movie where you’re on a blue screen and there’s a fake explosion going on, and someone is ‘exploding’ and you’re like that,” Johnson said in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, “That was mental to me. Dakota Johnson was impressed by Madame Webb’s powers
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the Fifty Shades of Gray actress revealed that she was offered the film by director SJ Clarkson in 2021 soon after she completed shooting The Lost Daughter.
“I was sent this script and I said, ‘I don’t know about me being a superhero,'” she told the outlet.
But she was impressed with Cassandra, she said, “I was kind of in awe of her powers. I said, ‘Oh, I’d really love to see that superhero. I would love to see a young woman whose superpower is her brain.”
Madam Web is set to release in theaters on February 14. It stars Sidney Sweeney, Isabel Merced, Emma Roberts and Johnson.
