Zendaya says she’ll star in ‘Dune 3’
While Zendaya has been one of the busiest Hollywood A-listers on both the small and big screens in recent times, her heavy schedule isn’t going to be a problem for her working relationship with Villeneuve.
Zendaya has shared that she is open to returning as Chani if ‘Dune 3’ is made. Filmmaker Denis Villeneuve confirmed in December that the script for ‘Dune 3’ is almost complete.
However, he also said that he may tackle another project before that. As Deadline reports, he said: “I don’t know exactly when I’ll go back to Arrakis.”

“Will we be down? “I mean, definitely,” Zendaya told Deadline during a cast interview with Fandango.
She further said, ‘Will we remain at the bottom? I mean absolutely. Whenever Dennis calls, it’s yes from me. I’m excited to see what happens. I started ‘Messiah’ and I was like, ‘Wow, I’m only shooting the first film. Let me just go back to the first one.’ There’s a lot involved, but there are no better hands with better care and love than Dennis.’
Zendaya said of the future of the franchise, “I’m excited to see it…it’s just the anticipation.” “Whenever he’s ready. He is a perfectionist in many ways and doesn’t want to share things until they are ready. So I’m respecting him and waiting until he’s ready.
Villeneuve attended the ‘Dune: Part Two press conference in South Korea last year and went on record saying that the upcoming film is a “much better” film than his 2021 original.
