Sophie Turner withdraws “Child Abduction Case” against Joe Jonas

It looks like Sophie Turner and her ex-husband Joe Jonas have settled things for now regarding custody of their kids… which is why she’s asking the judge to throw out her entire “child kidnapping” claim from last year.

The lawsuit in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York was dismissed with the consent of both parties, according to a court filing. The Game of Thrones star and the 34-year-old singer reached a custody agreement last week by signing a court-approved consent plan.

Why Sophie Turner filed a “Child Abduction Case” against Jonas

Jonas and Turner have two daughters, Willa, 3, and Delphine, 18 months. The couple’s children, born in the United States in 2020 and 2022, have American and British citizenship.

In September, Turner sued Jonas after he allegedly kept their 1- and 3-year-old daughters in the US without their consent withheld the children’s passports, and prevented the girls from returning to England – Turner’s home country.

A spokesperson for Jonas at the time denied that he had “abducted” the girls and accused Turner of attempting to permanently remove the children from the United States. Jonas also urged Turner to “reconsider his harsh legal position and move forward more constructively and privately.”

Nearly two weeks after Sophia Turner filed the lawsuit, Jonas and Turner reached a temporary custody agreement regarding the custody of their two daughters.
