Kanye West is being sued by a man who claims the rapper punched him twice

Kanye West is being sued by a man who claims the rapper punched him twice after he approached him in downtown Los Angeles.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Ye is being taken to court by an autograph dealer who says this all happened in DTLA about 2 years ago; As you may recall, the man was seen on the ground in a video shortly after the alleged attack.

Justin Poplawski and his wife Tiffany Marshall sued in Los Angeles County courts for assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, and loss of consortium. The incident occurred on January 13, 2022.

Poplawski says he is a “respected autograph dealer” who has obtained autographs from Ye before “without incident”, but this time it was different.

He claims Ye became angry at her, allegedly yelling… “I’m going to make an example of you,” referencing his divorce from Kim Kardashian, before punching him.

Kanye West further said, “Get out of here before I defeat you. “I’m going to make a huge example of you.”

Poplawski says he apologized to Kanye West, but the rapper responded, “Sorry about what?” …before allegedly hitting her again several times and “seriously injuring” him.

Poplawski claims that one of the people accompanying Kanye asked her to stop the attack, but Ye began yelling at her and demanding she “go home and get my kids.”

The man is suing for damages and alleges he has been the victim of assault and battery and has suffered emotional distress.

His wife is also suing for loss of consortium, essentially saying that she lost her husband’s company as a result of the incident with Ye.

At the end of the video, a man can be heard saying “Call the police” and asking authorities to investigate the incident. But it was decided not to charge Kanye with any crime.

The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office said, “After a thorough and careful review of all the evidence, our office is declining to file the request on the basis that there is no reasonable prospect of a conviction.” In other words, he did not have enough for conviction. To be fair, the hit was not captured on video.
