Kevin Hart took legal action againsy former assist.
Kevin Hart is taking legal action over cheating allegations made by a former assistant in an interview with YouTuber Tasha Kay.
Hart’s complaint, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by People, focuses on an online interview between his formal personal assistant Miesha Shakes and Latasha Kebe, also known as Tasha Kay, both of whom has been named as the defendant in the demand.
Kebe claimed Kevin Hart cheated on his wife
According to the complaint, Shakes worked for Hart’s company from August 2017 to October 2020.
The interview, posted Dec. 22 on Kebe’s Instagram account and Tasha’s YouTube channel Unwine with Tasha K, includes Shakes’ allegations that Hart, 44, had an affair in her office. She also claimed that she had told Hart’s wife Eniko that he was cheating on her and that the comedian had a gambling problem.
A preview of the conversation was titled: “Interview with Kevin Hart, I wish this never came out!!”
Kevin Hart claimed that Kebe is trying to extract money from him
Hart’s complaint claims Kebe demanded money and threatened to publish the explosive interview if the money was not paid.
The documents allege that in November, “someone associated with Kebe” contacted Hart’s representative to inform him that the interview had been recorded and “it would be damaging to Hart’s reputation.” “The person said Kebe would publish the interview unless Hart paid a ransom of $250,000.”
According to the lawsuit, Hart contacted police and issued a cease-and-desist order telling Kebe not to publish the interview. He cited the confidentiality agreement between Shakes and Hart and said that publishing the interview would be “intentional interference with contractual relations”.
According to Hart’s complaint, in addition to violating the NDA, the interview “contained false and defamatory statements about Hart and certain legal disputes in which he was involved.” The lawsuit says Shakes “falsely represented that Hart had recorded a video of a sexual encounter and that he was facing criminal charges for that alleged incident.”
Kevin is Suing Shakes for breaking the contract
Hart is suing all defendants for civil racketeering and invasion of privacy (public disclosure of private facts). Additionally, he sued Shakes for breach of contract and defamation; And he’s suing Kebe for intentional interference with contractual relations.
“Kebe has an established history of posting defamatory or inappropriate content about celebrities,” Hart’s lawsuit states.
The interviewer was also criticized for airing allegations about Will Smith and Duane Martin, which Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith publicly denied. (Jada previously indicated she would take legal action over the inflammatory interview.)
