Ryan Edwards was arrested during a court appearance and taken to jail.
Now, it looks like “Teen Mom” star Ryan Edwards will be spending her holidays behind bars. According to a new report from In Touch, Ryan will be locked up at least until his next hearing, which is scheduled for January 17.
The news caps a very difficult year for Edwards, who is no stranger to life outside the law.
Previously, Ryan Edwards was arrested for stalking his ex-wife and for drugs possession
In April, Ryan was arrested on multiple charges, including stalking and harassing his ex-wife, Mackenzie Standifer.
At one point, Edwards trashed Standifer’s house so much that he was forced to move out.
When the police finally caught up with him, they found Ryan passed out with drugs and other paraphernalia in his car. Police were able to revive him using Narcan, but it looked like Ryan’s problems were just beginning. Edwards was already on probation when all this happened, so it was widely assumed that he would be in prison for a long time.
But a judge took pity on the 35-year-old and accepted a permit that would allow him to attend rehab and move into a sober living home rather than going to jail.
Judge get Frustrated with Ryan Edwards
In his first few weeks as a semi-free man, Ryan was once involved in a fight and was arrested for driving his motorcycle at 135 MPH.
It’s unclear whether Edwards has resumed drug use (the court is still awaiting the results of the evaluation), but whatever the case, Ryan’s late nights and reckless behavior are not in keeping with the house rules.
“I have exhausted my patience,” Judge Gary Starnes said in court last week. “You just keep getting one opportunity after another.”
Ryan will have at least six weeks to reflect on his actions, and he may face even longer behind bars.
Meanwhile, Edwards’ new girlfriend, Amanda Connors, is asking her fans to pray for her troubled partner.
