“2 Broke Girls” star Kat Dennings and songwriter Andrew W.K. became a married couple!
Kat Dennings and Andrew tied the knot in the backyard of their Los Angeles home last month.
“I wanted our wedding to feel different from an ‘industry event’ in every way,” Kat told Vogue. I even hand-made all of our wedding flowers, aisle pieces, and ceremony arch, which took me three full days. “I wanted to soak in the whole experience and feel like we had created our moment together from the beginning.”
The backyard wedding was attended by her “Dollface” co-star, Brenda Song, and Song’s fiancé, Macaulay Culkin.
Kat Dennings describe about her Wedding and loss of her Father
Kat said, “It was incredibly emotional for both of us and the love around us was so evident. My father passed away a month and a half ago and I had a moment where I thought we should delay the wedding, but I realized it was too big a reason to capture any feeling of happiness.
Dennings shared, “My amazing mom walked me down the aisle and during the ceremony, I felt so blessed and grateful for Andrew and our loved ones. I felt truly blessed to be married to such a kind and loving man. The ceremony itself was a little confusing, but in the best way. “We looked into each other’s eyes and were so excited to finally be husband and wife.”
Kat and Andrew proposed each other at exactly the same time in Kitchen
“About three years ago, Andrew came to see me for the first time,” Kat said of her decision to have the wedding at home. At the end of their journey, we could never imagine being apart. In fact, we proposed to each other in the kitchen at that very moment.”
And she adds: “But in the end, the bustle of the kitchen kept calling us again. We felt like a small house wedding was too cozy to resist. Plus, all of our stuff was there, so we didn’t have to pack anything.
News of Kat and Andrew’s engagement came more than two years ago.
