Disney+ has finally released the Santa Clause Season 2 trailer for the next installment of the family comedy series.

The Santa Clause season 2 trailer shows Tim Allen’s Scott and the rest of the Calvin family getting ready for Christmas as a family. This does not highlight Cal’s very good background as the official successor to Scott’s Santa Claus. The trailer also shows off new characters joining the main cast, including Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet as Mad Santa and Gabriel Iglesias as Kris Kringle.

Santa Claus season 2 stars Allen as Scott Calvin/Santa Claus, with Elizabeth Mitchell as Carol/Mrs. Elizabeth Allen-Dick as Klaus, Sandra, Devin Bright as Noel, Austin Kane as Cal, Matilda Lawler as Betty. It comes from executive producer and showrunner Jack Burditt, known for his work on hit shows like 30 Rock, Modern Family, and Frasier. In addition to acting, Allen is also an executive producer alongside Kevin Hench, Richard Baker, and Rick Messina.

The logline reads: “In season 2, the Kelvin family returns to the North Pole as Scott continues his role as Santa Claus after his retirement plans were thwarted in the first season due to his failure to find a worthy successor.”. “Now that Scott and his family have successfully saved Christmas, Scott has turned his attention to training his son Calvin to eventually take over the “family business” as Santa Claus.”

The series continues the film franchise that began in 1994 with The Santa Clause and was most recently seen on the big screen with 2006’s The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. Stonestreet is best known for his Emmy-winning role as Cameron Tucker on the ABC comedy Modern Family, which closed in April 2020 after 11 seasons.
