Prasanta Basunia’s mother told the investigators that 2 men barged into their house and shot her son, she further told that she can identify one of the intruders clearly.
Basunia’s family was about to have lunch when two intruders barged in and shot Prasanta from a close range, he was declared dead at Dinhata government hospital.
On investigating the police said that the victim’s mother told them she can identify the intruders. Police personnel is questioning the neighbors and Basunia family members to get a deeper view of the case.
Samik Bhattacharya BJP’s chief spokesperson claimed TMC (Trinamool Congress) was behind the murder of Basunia. Bhattacharya said that It is a Political Murder, Basunia was being targeted to weaken the BJP just before the panchayat elections.
The current Leader of the opposition also targets TMC by saying that TMC leaders in the region are joining the BJP which has become a fearful thing for TMC Party, this may be a gruesome reaction.
The TMC’s Dinhata legislator Udayan Guha dismissed the claims by stating that the crime has nothing to do with politics or TMC. He further said that a proper investigation should be done in order to reveal the truth.
