50 Cent criticizes Diddy’s apology after footage of brutal Cassie Ventura attack leaks.
50 Cent is sounding the alarm on all things Diddy. He is quite fed up with his hip-hop rival’s actions and constantly berates him for his behaviour. Heartbreakingly disturbing surveillance footage from 2016 has recently surfaced, showing Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs brutally attacking, kicking and dragging his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, sparking serious backlash However, most of Diddy’s industry colleagues have curiously distanced themselves from Him.
Of course, this reached his ears, prompting him to share a video apology on his Instagram in a moment of sympathy today. Believed to be filming the video himself, the bad boy looks directly into the camera, breaking his silence on the videotape leak, which appears to confirm all of Ventura’s complaints cited in his November 2023 lawsuit against Diddy.
50 Cent, who previously confirmed that he is working extensively to produce a documentary related to all the allegations against Diddy that he hopes will break viewing records, swiftly takes a shot at Diddy’s apology.
Sharing Diddy’s Sunday morning apology video on Twitter, 50 Cent criticized him: “This won’t work, who is advising him at this point? SMH bad move.”
Like most netizens’ opinions, 50 Cent also disdained Diddy’s latest move. Ironically, Combs doesn’t mention Ventura as much in the video, despite writing in the caption, “I’m really sorry.” Twitterati actively considers this a desperate measure chosen by the hip-hop mogul in desperate times.
Several threads of tweets and comments referencing Diddy’s “apology” criticized him for only regretting his actions after being caught and not directly addressing his misconduct.
Diddy’s “Sorry” video follows his long-standing stance of innocence on the matter, as he has repeatedly denied all allegations of sexual assault or sex trafficking made against him in multiple lawsuits. Before the video was leaked, he continued to bend over backwards to claim immunity from guilt.
However, in the new video, he has backtracked, as he now takes full responsibility for what happened between him and Cassie in that hotel hallway.
“It’s very hard to reflect on the darkest times of your life, but sometimes you have to do it. Describing his brutal attack on Cassie he said, “I was completely devastated, which resulted in her falling to the ground.” Although he also talked about seeking “professional help” after the incident, he didn’t go into much detail about the timeline or details of his treatment. Diddy ended the video with an apology, which was directed not at Cassie but more at the public: “I’m so sorry, but I’m committed to being a better person every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m sorry.
His closing words offer an extremely contradictory view on the matter, as he had previously said, “Let me be absolutely clear: I have not committed any of the terrible things of which I have been accused. It has nothing to do with the family. Just a few days after sharing the letter, Diddy took full responsibility for his actions without mentioning Ventura once.
